This week in the Cash Flow News…   George Osborne Announces Spending Cuts Chancellor of the Exchequer George Osborne unveiled plans for a variety of spending cuts across the board. In a statement to MPs, he commented that “while recovery from such a deep recession can never be straightforward, Britain is moving out of intensive care, and from rescue to recovery.” Osborne announced in his March Budget that current spending would have to be cut by £11.5 billion – 8.5%.
